For me it began as a child, watching my father in his darkroom (the bathroom with the windows blacked out) create.
John Sexton says ‘photographers should invest of themselves and reveal themselves honestly in their photographs’, my father was revealed to me through his camera.

  2. What a beautiful observation about your father. I love your photographs and will always remember my first trip into a darkroom in a college photography class. The magic that happened in there was like none other.

    • Hi CHristine,
thanks for looking around. I should put that quote up in my house somewhere to help remind me to find the story in the image. I think that is the hardest part of photography for me, the ‘seeing’ part. -Kim

  4. Kim, Stopped by to see your work and I’m glad I did. I too am a fan of DOF and a very big fan of Paris.(hope to get back in 2012). My love remains with flowers but this time of year I’ll photograph almost anything. Very nice work. I’ll be stopping back…..Ronnie

    • Ronnie, I’m glad you stopped by and will be back :) I agree, It is a bit hard to take pictures these days (it’s been raining here for the past few days), but I think it helps me get out of my box (sometimes). Here’s to Paris! -Kim

  7. Hi Kim-

    Wanted to ask you…

As I mentioned before, I love that Sexton quote and I had never seen it before I visited here. If I mention it over at my site, do you mind if I share a link back to here (since this is where I saw it first)? Lemme know!
