moments in focus…

Midnight at the Oasis…. ok, the beach

We live about 20 minutes from the Gulf Coast, so we go there often, even late at night.  In this case ‘very late’ at night.  Despite the cold air and wind, I had fun practicing long exposures.  The lower image is my favorite.  Unbeknownst to my husband, I caught this image as he picked up shells in the glow of the headlights.  I like the way you can see him trailing across the frame.

  1. I like the perspective of the first shot and the texture of the wood grains.

The ghostly shot of your husband is fun, though! I’d love to have some time to go out and play with my camera right now. You can end up with some interesting photos experimenting with exposures.

I love how you were able to manage Nd incorporate noise into the composition.
