saturday drive

Under the Big Top

Reflections of Red

Saturday morning at 8:30 am we pulled out of the driveway for our 2.5 hour drive to Warrenton, Texas.  Warrenton is a small town, well, actually it’s cow fields that come to life twice a year with an antique/junk fair.  Round Top is the more common name associated with this event, it is the small town about 5 miles down the road which is also host to many antique vendors, a few shops and a few restaurants.

Sixty-seven degrees was the temperature when we left and not one cloud in the sky, oh and for south Texas it was not a humid day! The high for the day was, I am guessing, 83.  But, the best part of the day was that our daughter  drove 1.5 hours from college to spend the day with us.

I always take my camera to this event, it is more about spending time with my husband (and daughter) and taking photos, than buying ‘stuff’. Some vendors don’t like their items photographed, not sure why, but respect is what I give.  So here are few pictures from that day.

  1. I love old bottles and you’ve captured these in a unique way.
